Netflix наконец-то выпустил вторую половину 5 сезона сериала «Люцифер», в которой произошло много поворотных событий. Один из главных героев шоу умер, и недавно звезда «Люцифера» рассказал, ждать ли персонажа в финальном 6 сезоне.

Ближе к финалу сезона (далее и до конца текста спойлеры) героически погиб детектив Дэн Эспиноса, которого играет Кевин Алехандро. И особенно в его судьбе печалит то, что Дэн из-за чувства вины попал в ад, а не в рай. Фанаты наверняка ждут, что в заключительном сезоне Люцифер Морнингстар (Том Эллис) как-то исправит эту ситуацию, ведь теперь он Бог.

В беседе с ET Online Алехандро признался, что о судьбе Дэна он узнал довольно давно. Актер был доволен тем, что придумали для его персонажа шоураннеры Илди Модрович и Джо Хендерсон, а развязку истории героя в 5 сезоне Алехандро назвал «действительно хорошим выбором и сильным повествованием».

Однако Кевин Алехандро подтвердил, что рано прощаться с Дэном! Актер заявил, что все-таки герой вернется под занавес шоу. Правда, он не уточнил, каким будет камео. Даже не намекнул, сможет ли Люци вытащить Дэна из ада:

«Вы определенно видели Дэна не в последний раз. Это может быть воспоминание или сцены с попытками понять, что же происходит».

Актер прокомментировал и главную проблему Дэна – его борьбу с чувством вины. По словам Алехандро, только Дэн может помочь себе в этой ситуации. Говорит, Дэну пора принять своих внутренних демонов. И затем артист интригующе дал понять, что сцены с Дэном в 6 сезоне удивят поклонников:

«Я был на съемочной площадке 6 сезона, так что он определенно вернется, только не так, как все думают».

Кевин Алехандро добавил, что финал «Люцифера» станет логичным завершением всего, о чем ранее рассказывали в сериале. Как он подчеркнул, будут намеки на прошлые эпизоды, и их прекрасно поймут те зрители, которые все эти годы следили за развитием событий шоу. Пятый сезон «Люцифера» и правда закончили так, словно это финал шоу: Люцифер — [спойлер]

Теперь ждать шестой сезон будет еще интереснее.

На Netflix вышла вторая половина пятого сезона «Люцифера». Некоторое время предполагалось, что этот сезон станет последним; затем создатели шоу, уступив просьбам фанатов, согласились на еще один сезон — точно финальный.

С пятым сезоном связан любопытный момент. В свое время шоураннеры Джо Хендерсон и Ильди Модрович рассказывали, что после продления «Люцифера» на шестой сезон не стали вносить вообще никаких изменений в финал пятого сезона — он, говорили шоураннеры, и так слишком хорош.

До выхода второй половины сезона было не слишком ясно, почему шоураннеры решили заострить внимание на неизменности сюжета и концовки шоу. Но теперь все ясно: оказалось, пятый сезон заканчивается так, словно это финал сериала.

На случай, если вы не в курсе: в пятом сезоне на Земле появляется Михаил, брат Люцифера (его тоже играет Том Эллис). Весь сезон посвящен противостоянию братьев, а во второй половине к ним присоединяется еще и отец — Бог.

Выясняется, что Бог хочет покинуть известную нам вселенную и переехать к жене. На освободившуюся вакансию претендуют и Михаил, и Люцифер; Михаилу удается добыть Пылающий меч и привлечь на свою сторону большую часть ангелов, у Люцифера явно нет никаких шансов.

И все-таки Люцифер побеждает. Вкратце: во время битвы Михаил убивает Хлою, Люцифер отправляется за ней в Рай, вытаскивает с помощью кольца Лилит и сгорает в райском пламени — только для того, чтобы несколько минут спустя загадочным образом воскреснуть, обретя божественность.

Механику транзита власти сериал не объясняет; похоже, все дело в самопожертвовании Люцифера. Так или иначе, наш герой отрубает крылья Михаилу, а остальные ангелы признают Люцифера новым Богом.

Клиффхэнгер оказался неожиданным даже по меркам «Люцифера». Теперь единственный вопрос, интересующий фанатов — что вообще будет происходить в шестом сезоне, если главный герой уже стал божеством.

Впрочем, судя по отцу Люцифера (у него довольно много экранного времени), Бог в этой вселенной не вполне всемогущ и не совсем всеведущ. Почему бы ему и дальше не помогать полиции на общественных началах.

Пока у шестого и последнего сезона «Люцифера» нет ни даты премьеры, ни релизного окна. Мы знаем только, что он будет состоять из 10 эпизодов.

During his over three-decades-long career in Hollywood, Yohnka worked on many popular films and shows, including ‘Chuck,’ ‘Rizzoli & Isles,’ ‘Transformers,’ and ‘Die Hard 4.0.’ Yohnka served as a stunt co-ordinator on ‘Lucifer’ from 2017-2019. He worked on a total of 29 episodes of the show.

If you are an avid viewer of ‘Lucifer,’ you must know the show’s third and fourth seasons are comparatively more action-heavy. The wonderful action sequences of the aforementioned seasons are a testament to Yohnka’s exemplary work. Yohnka also received the coveted Emmy Award twice (in 2008 and 2009) for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for his exceptional work in the field of stunt coordination on the spy thriller series ‘Chuck.’ Yohnka sadly passed away in 2020 and ‘Lucifer’ season 5 episode 16 titled ‘Chance at a Happy Ending,’ is dedicated to Yohnka’s memory.

How Did Merritt Yohnka Die?

Merritt Yohnka was born on April 1, 1958, in Chebanse, Illinois. He studied at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, before venturing into Hollywood to carve out a successful career in the industry. He worked at Knott’s Berry Farm in southern California and was the star of the farm’s ‘Wild West Stunt Show.’ Yohnka also occasionally worked as a security guard at night during that time. He eventually landed a recurring role as Joey on the soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives.’

Aside from his work as a stunt double and stunt coordinator, Yohnka also made numerous appearances in small roles on many television shows. Yohnka met his wife of twenty-four years, Cindy Yohnka, in 1992 during the filming of a car commercial in which they played husband and wife. The couple tied the knot in 1996 and resided in Sherwood Forest, Los Angeles County. The couple has three children, Emily, Steven, and Garrett. Despite his busy work schedule, Yohnka always spent time with his family and enjoyed outdoor activities such as boating, jet skiing, and fishing.

The season five finale of Lucifer could not have been a more monumental occasion as Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) faced off against twin brother Michael (also Ellis) for the top spot of God. After their father (Dennis Haysbert) had stepped down, the bickering twin brothers faced off in a bone-crushing battle to see who would emerge as his successor. And the finale also had extra significance as it was dedicated to the show’s late stunt coordinator, Merritt Yohnka.

“Rest well in Heaven my good friend Merritt,” he penned on Instagram. “Just wanted to tell you again how much we all love you!”

Several of Yohnka’s fans also paid tributes of their own at the time after hearing the said news.

On Twitter, one fan wrote: “#merritt yohnka rest in peace you were loved.”

Jason Voorhees actor Kane Hodder, best known for portraying the horror character in the franchise of the same name, also paid tribute: “Very sad day, today.

“Lost a good buddy this morning. Merritt Yohnka was a talented stuntman/stunt coordinator with whom I worked on many, many occasions. Lots of fun memories. Love you, man…”

While another added: “Saddened to hear about the death of Merritt Yohnka.

“Stunt performers rarely get their credit, and he was a veteran who made so many shows look good.”

Lucifer paid a tribute of its own with a title card after season five, episode 16, titled A Chance At a Happy Ending which simply read: “In memory of Merrit Yohnka. 1958-2020.”

And Lucifer’s battle against his twin looked to be going off the rails thanks to the unexpected return of sister Azrael (Charlyne Yi) who distracted him to allow Michael to kill Chloe.

But in the ultimate test of sacrifice, Lucifer jetted to heaven using the immortality ring left Lilith to return Chloe to earth, meaning he’d be subject to eternity in hell.

Chloe’s returned to earth thanks to Lucifer handing her Lilith’s ring, heartbroken Lucifer had subjected himself to an eternity of hell and fire.

But inexplicably, Lucifer descended back to earth, declaring himself as God, slicing off Michael’s wings and cementing himself as the one true leader.
